What is the role of music and sound in meditation and can we use sound to rise in the spiritual path?

The universe is nothing but a vibration. This is has been known by the enlightenment people of the world since time immemorial. This fact has now also been confirmed by science. As science explores the atom and goes inside it, it finds that what lies underneath is nothing but vibrations of different frequencies.

There is no solid matter. Only vibrations of different frequencies that combine to create the physical universe.
Our bodies too are made of nothing but vibrations.

Since everything is made of vibration or sound, it is obvious that we with concentration focus on particular sounds we will be able to hear them. (more…)

Faith in God – AADISHRI ARUN

Faith in God is a prerequisite for a happy life. Why is this so? And why do people have a problem with faith? Human beings tend to only believe in what they can see, taste, hear, smell, or feel; it’s limited to the five senses. We sit in a chair and believe that it will hold us because we can feel the chair through our five senses. We are ready to fly in airplanes even when we don’t fully understand how they work, and even if we don’t know the pilot, but we trust that everything will be okay. This is because we can see that the airplane works. We can see it flying-taking off and landing and we have the experience of other people to bank upon that it is safe to fly. That is also faith, but a faith that has been verified by our five senses.

What if I asked you to sit in a chair you can’t see? Or what if the chair was missing one of its legs and was falling over? You wouldn’t sit in a chair like that with human faith. Would you fly in a plane if you could see that the engine was falling off or the tires were flat? Your senses would forbid it. (more…)

Causes of Worry and Cure -Ishwar Putra Arun

Worry, feeling uneasy or troubled, seems to plague multitudes of people in our world today. It’s human nature to be concerned about the bad situations in our world and in our personal lives, but if we’re not careful, the devil will cause us to worry beyond what’s reasonable.

Worry is like a rocking chair—it’s always in motion but it never gets you anywhere. So why do we struggle with it? And what good does it do? Worry is the opposite of faith, and it steals our peace, physically wears us out, and can even make us sick. When we worry, we torment ourselves—we’re doing the devil’s job for him! Worry is caused by not trusting God to take care of the various situations in our lives. Too often we trust our own abilities, believing that we can figure out how to take care of our own problems. Yet sometimes, after all our worry and effort to go it alone, we come up short, unable to bring about suitable solutions. (more…)
