God Promises for Healing – AADISHRI ARUN

The promise of God is a statement which is eternal and unchanging like a rock but our promise to God is shaky. We change our promise and stance every day and we doubt God also. The contract that we have with God is thus incomplete. God does what he is supposed to do but we are unfit vessels for His blessings. Just as no matter how much water is poured into a broken vessel, it will always flow out, similarly all of God’s blessings flow out of our lives. Like a letter that has a wrong address put on it can never reach its destination, similarly God’s blessings that are ever flowing out of His heart, never reach those devotees that are broken vessels-that denotes those of us who don’t keep their promises to God or who doubt Him.

What about the promises of God? How certain are they? The Apostle Paul, in writing about the promises of God to Abraham, addressed the church at Rome with these words: “For the promise that he should be heir of the world, was not to Abraham or his seed through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith . . .

therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed” (Romans 4:13, 16). God’s promise to Abraham was first spelled out in Genesis Chapter 12. It was repeated in Chapter 22. Verse 18 reads: “And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice”. God has given the promise of health and healing. Bible, Jeremiah 30:17 has prophesied – “For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord”

God promises health to us if we listen. Bible, Exodus 15:26 says – “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your Go and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.”

God heals us and forgives us. Bible, Psalms 103:2-3 has prophesied – “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.”

Why happiness is so important?

What is Happiness? It is a commodity that is being chased by every being in the world. We all want it but very few have it and even those who have it, they find it difficult to constantly remain in that state.
Let us look at the question of Happiness closely.

There are two kinds of happiness. One is what most of us chase. This is an inner state of the mind that is induced by our circumstances. When we get what we desire, we feel happy and when we don’t get what we expect, we feel unhappy, sad and anxious.

Thus this kind of happiness/ sadness is completely dependent on some external circumstance or object. We all know the state of happiness when we get a new car, a new friend, go on a vacation or have a new addition to the family! We may also feel happy when we get wealth, fame or acclaim. This kind of reason for happiness is why women go shopping! Sadness is the opposite side of this coin. We feel sad when we have a setback, when we may have lost a business or money or a friend or a loved one. (more…)
